FM Mattsson 1917 - 1962

FM Mattsson (Frost-Mats Mattsson) was founded by Frost Matts Mattsson in 1865, Östnor,  specialized in making water taps, faucets, and other products out of brass. Frost-Mats Mattsson, late 1880s Frost Mats Mattsson passed away in 1914. Frost Matts Mattsson 1917 marked the year of the start of knife production in the workshop.  One of the reasons for the start-up of this production was the lack of metals during the First World War, which was not the case with iron and steel. (English: Royal) was dropped in 1946 and the name was further modernised to Televerket in 1953. Televerket continued on with its telecommunications monopoly until corporatisation in 1993, when it was renamed Telia, now part of Telia Company. Source: Wikipedia Two different models have been spotted, a classic N.1 and a special cable chopper. All knives were made Frosts Knivfabrik AB.  Production period is probably around 1950s-1980s.  All knives have a two digit  number stamped on the blade, that indicates que year they were delivered to the company.  Check out also this art...
