Kråk-Anders Persson, date unknown
Kråk-Anders Persson, aka Päres-Anders, was born in Öna Päres-gården on 12/8/1898.
In 1926, he m\arried Stikå Helena Andersson (1899-1955) from Färnäs.
They settled on Knås-gården in Färnäs in the 1930s.
Knåsgården is mentioned in the book "Gods och gårdar i norra Dalarna"
"Färnäs, Knåsgården
Postal address: Färnäs.
Main building was built-in the early 1800s. An extention building was built in 1939, and there was a barn built in 1746, and 2 shelters for 3 cows, 1-2 young animals, 1-2 pigs. The first owner of the farm was Knås Jöns Matsson, who was succeeded by his daughter Knås Kerstin Jönsdotter. After that, the farm passed to her son Stickå Anders Olsson and his wife H. Krång. Karin B Eriksson were now the owner's in-laws. The farm includes summer cottages in Ingärdningsbo. Owner: Kråk Anders Persson b. 12/8 1898. Son of Kråk Per Andersson o. H. H. Anna b. Forslund. Married 26 to Stikå Helena Andersson b. 1/4 1899. Children: Anna Greta b. 26, Nils Valter b. 31. Owner: Employed as a sharpener at E. Jönsson's knife factory, östnor, Mora.."
In the late 1930s, Kråk-Anders Persson worked at his cousin's factory, Bröderna Jönsson, as a knife sharpener and where he learned the knife making craft. This would be the foundation to, later on, venture on his own in the knife making business.
K.A.Persson installed its own workshop in Färnäs, after buying some machines and tools from the recently closed down Jannes Knagg factory.

The knives were branded as K.A.PERSSON.
Apparently, all the knives were sold without a sheath called "täljknivar", instead, they were simply wrapped in paper.
Most of the knives were sold to JOFA in Malung, which manufactured its own knife sheaths from leather waste.
Production was only running for a few months. Later on, he got sick and sold his inventory to his cousins at Bröderna Jönsson.
K.A.PERSSON - date unknown
At the time of his death on 25/06/1950, Kråk-Anders still owned a press, shaft lathe, steel, and grinding stand that may indicate, even after closing the workshop, he probably continued to do some knife making.
Example of a K.A.Person knife owned by Lars Lödöen. He was told this was the last knife his grandfather made.
A very interesting knife sold on Auctionnet.com I suppose this is a custom rehandle using Kråk-Anders blade
Special thanks
